ASQ’s Ahmedabad LMC (Local Member Community) has been vibrant in promoting the four principles driving LMCs i.e. Learn, Improve, Share and Develop. The LMC personifies ASQ’s vision “to make the world a better place to live” and its mission is “to continually improve and increase the impact of Quality as a way of life by understanding and sharing best practices with our members, stakeholders, and institutions in the state of Gujarat, India”

ASQ is committed to spreading Quality movement in India, and Ahmedabad Local Member Community has been the torchbearer in many of its activities. The Ahmedabad LMC is governed by volunteer members from Industry and Academia who are passionate spreading Quality movement in the region. Out of our several initiatives, every year during the month of November which is celebrated as “Quality Month” worldwide, we celebrate it by conducting the Annual Conference on Quality Management, jointly with Institute of Management, Nirma University.

Nirma University, recognized by the University Grants Commission of India was established under the Act passed by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Gujarat in April 2003. The Institute of Management, a constituent of Nirma University is a premier B-School in India offering several postgraduate, executives, and doctoral programs in Business Administration, which are consistently ranked among the top B-Schools of the country.

This year we are happy to conduct the 9th Annual Conference on Quality Management during 22-23 November 2019 at Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. The theme of this year’s conference is “Challenge the Change through Quality and Innovation”.

Ever since its inception, the conference has been receiving an overwhelming response which is proven by the increasing number of participants, last year the Conference was attended by 400+ quality professionals from Industry and Academia. To commemorate the 9th Year of Ahmedabad LMC’s efforts a memorable book with ISBN number on Quality and Innovation Management Practices will be launched. Since we have decided to celebrate differently this all-important the 9th Annual Event we also have decided to include few celebrity chapters in the book contributed by eminent authorities in the profession like you.

If you are interested you can author an article on either related to the theme which revolves around Quality and Innovation or on any other theme based on contemporary quality management practices so that the same could be included in the memorable book which is planned to be unveiled during the conference.
